On the Rise 2025

Blue Line Arts in Roseville, CA announces On the Rise, a regional emerging artist exhibition dedicated to showcasing exceptional artwork created by artists aged 14 to 24. This juried exhibition provides an opportunity to learn the process of a juried exhibition firsthand from beginning to end. Submissions are welcome in any medium, including painting, sculpture, digital art, photography, and more.

Eligibility: Artists must be aged 14–24 at the time of applying and reside in qualified regions. All artwork must be original and completed within the last two years, cannot have been previously exhibited at Blue Line Arts, and must be for sale. All 2-D works must be ready to hang. Accepted artwork that differs significantly from the image in the online submission will be disqualified. No accepted entry may be withdrawn or sold outside of the exhibition prior to the closing date. Art must be able to enter through doors with a clearance of 94"h x 91"w, ceilings are 10 feet high, and nothing over 60 lbs will be accepted. Artists under 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign the consignment agreement upon acceptance.

Entry fee is $25 (scholarships available). Current Blue Line Arts Members at the College Student and Artist Level, as well as high school students from Placer County and neighboring Sacramento, El Dorado, Yolo, Yuba, Sutter, and Nevada Counties can submit for free. 50% off codes for the application fee are offered for high school, community college, or university students outside these areas. Submit 1–5 photos of artworks. Deadline to enter: March 29, 2025, 5pm PST. Artist notification: April 12, 2025, 5pm PST. Exhibition dates: May 10 - June 21, 2025. Opening reception: May 17, 2025 from 5-7pm. Blue Line Arts handles all sales transactions; non-member artists receive a 50% commission from gallery sales and members receive a 60% commission.
