On Neutral Ground

"On Neutral Ground" seeks works of art that explore neutrality and the middle way. The exhibition aims to create a zone of peace by displaying works of art that are free from heavy sensory output, including themes and messages. Works could show softness, harmony, balance, and a sense of meditation. Works ideally should incorporate neutral tones, such as white, greys, soft blacks, and beige. Works may also include natural media and can be of a political nature, so long as they are free from overt messaging and convey the ideals of neutrality. Photography should ideally be greyscale. Sculpture is also welcome. Works are accepted from Emerging, Mid-Career, and Professional Artists.

The in-person opening reception will be held Saturday, June 4th, 2022 at 6 PM, with the show running approximately until July 4th. Vestige Concept Gallery specializes in curated monthly mixed exhibition opportunities and is located in Lawrenceville, Pittsburgh, PA.

Eligibility: Open to artists over age 18 in the United States and Canada. Work should ideally have been created in the last three years and must be original artwork ready to display. The specific work must not have been previously displayed in a Vestige Concept Gallery exhibit. Work must be for sale. No Giclees or reproductions of original works will be accepted unless the work itself is a Giclee or digital. Entry fee is $27 for 2 entries, with an additional $5 per entry for up to 9 total submissions. Submit 2-9 work samples through callforentry.org. Artists will be notified of acceptance on or before May 21st. Shipped works must arrive by June 1st, 2022. Vestige Concept Gallery retains a 30% commission for any artwork sold. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from the gallery. 2D work must not exceed 30lbs including frame. 3D work and audio/video require gallery discussion before submission.
