On Edge 2025

On Edge is an annual juried exhibition of contemporary work by artists residing in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region who are pushing the boundaries of material and concept. Edge Gallery has exhibited groundbreaking contemporary art for more than 30 years and has been instrumental in presenting important experimental work in the region.

All artists working in any media and residing in the Rocky Mountain region are invited to submit their work. This show is open to contemporary art of any medium, with an emphasis on work that challenges the margins of material, content, artistic process, and technology. The merits and definition of "contemporary" will be defined by the juror. Submissions should include 1-3 total images or media samples (up to 3 images, 3 videos, and/or 3 audio files). The entry fee is $35.00. Accepted artwork must be hand-delivered; Edge Gallery does not have storage or facilities to handle shipped artwork.

The Honorary Juror is Jane Sook Burke, currently Interim Art Director at RedLine Contemporary Art Center in Denver. The exhibition runs August 1-17, 2025, with an opening reception on August 1 from 6:00-9:00 pm. Artists will be notified the week of July 8-11, 2025. Artwork drop-off is July 27 (6:00-8:00 pm) and July 28 (6:00-8:00 pm) at 6501 W. Colfax, Lakewood, CO 80214. A meet-the-juror reception and Juror's Choice Award announcement will be held August 17 from 3:30-5:00 pm. Artwork pick-up is August 17 (5:00-7:00 pm) and August 18 (6:00-8:00 pm). The Juror's Choice Award is $250. Edge Gallery takes a 30% commission on sales. All artwork must be ready to hang or install professionally with frames, mats, and wiring of professional quality.
