About This Call
ON EDGE is an annual juried exhibition of contemporary work by Colorado artists pushing the boundaries of materials and concept. EDGE Gallery has exhibited groundbreaking contemporary art for 30 years and has been instrumental in presenting important experimental work in the region. All artists residing in Colorado are invited to submit their work. Exhibitions are juried without artist names visible to the juror, and EDGE members do not submit their work.
This show is open to contemporary art of any medium, with an emphasis on work that challenges the margins of material, content, artistic process, and technology. The merits and definition of "contemporary" will be defined by the juror. Adam Gildar, owner and director of Gildar Gallery in Denver, will jury the 2019 show.
Entry fee is $35.00. Artists may submit 1-3 total work samples in any combination of images, audio, or video (maximum 3 of each format). The Juror's Choice Award of $200 will be presented at the Meet the Juror artist reception on May 12. Important dates: January 23 - artists notified; February 2-3 - artwork drop-off at 7001 W. Colfax, Lakewood, CO 80222, 12:00pm-5:00pm; February 8 - opening reception, 6:00pm-10:00pm; February 24 - Meet the Juror reception and last day of exhibition, 3:00pm-5:00pm.
