On Common Ground: From the Mountains to the Sea

This is an online juried competition for pastel artists. Membership in APS, PSNC, or PPS is required to enter. Entry fees are $35 for the first entry and $5 for each additional entry, with a maximum of 4 entries per artist. Up to 2 paintings per artist may be accepted to the show.

Artwork must be at least 80% dry pastel (no oil pastels). Work must be original, completed within the last five years, and not previously exhibited in an APS, PSNC, or PPS show. Work cannot be copied from other artists, publications, or published photos, or created under supervision such as in a workshop or class.

Prizes include: First Place - $1,000; Second Place - $750; Third Place - $500; 5 Exceptional Merit Awards; and 5 Honorable Merit Awards. No commission is taken on sales during the exhibit. Artists are responsible for shipping sold work directly to buyers. Work may be marked as NFS (not for sale). Submit high-quality JPEG images at least 1920 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images should show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background. Payment is by credit or debit card at the time of entry and is non-refundable. Entries may be edited until the deadline of August 1, 2025.
