About This Call
The Old Town Newhall Fine Art Festival will be held October 11th from 10am-5pm and October 12th from 10am-4pm, 2025. The festival is presented by the Santa Clarita Artists Association (SCAA) and Old Town Newhall Association, with funding provided by Solar Optimum via the LA County Department of Arts and Culture Public Art in Private Development Program.
Accepted artists will receive a 10' x 10' booth space, access to a coffee and water station, and advertising in local Southern California publications and social media promotions. A professional jury panel will select artists based on submitted photos representing original work. Accepted artists will be notified in August and will receive further information regarding booth location, entry/exit instructions, parking, and other logistics. Security will be provided overnight, though artists are advised to remove items of value.
The application deadline is August 18, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. The non-refundable application fee is $25. Accepted artists must pay a $200 booth fee covering the entire weekend. Artists must be 18 years or older and submit 5-10 high-resolution images (.jpg or .png, 300 dpi or larger) of their original artwork plus one image of their intended booth setup. Only fine art is accepted—no craft products or wearable art. Acceptable mediums include ceramics, digital art (no AI), drawing, glass, hand-crafted jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography (no AI manipulation), sculpture, printmaking, metalsmithing, and wood. Artist fine art greeting cards and limited edition signed and numbered prints may be sold.
