Olathe Arts Festival 2026

The City of Olathe presents the 4th annual Olathe Arts Festival on October 9-10, 2026, at the Johnson County Square in downtown Olathe. The festival features fine art, live music, local food trucks, interactive children's programming, and a fall festival atmosphere. This application is for fine arts exhibitors only; boutique and artisan marketplace vendors are selected through a separate process.

The festival accepts applications in 2D media (painting, drawing, photography, mixed-media, printmaking, digital) and 3D media (sculpture, jewelry, wood, metal, ceramics, clay, fiber, glass, stone). An Emerging Artist category is available for artists with five years or fewer of professional experience, minimal juried show history, and no major awards or extensive public recognition. Mass-produced, commercially manufactured, and kit-produced products are ineligible. Approximately 50 fine arts exhibitors will be selected by a jury comprised of the Olathe Public Art Committee and City staff based on submitted images and artist descriptions.

Application deadline is May 11, 2026. Artists must submit 5 photos (including one booth setup shot) with a $25 non-refundable application fee. Selected artists will be notified by email on June 16, 2026, with an acceptance and booth payment deadline of July 1, 2026. Artist benefits include security, rental tent with side walls, free bottled water, two meal vouchers, free parking, booth sitters, artist promotion on the city website, no percentage of sales collected, event advertising, and free public admission. Show hours are Friday, October 9, 5:00pm-9:00pm and Saturday, October 10, 11:00am-7:00pm. Artist check-in and setup is Friday, October 9, 10:00am-4:00pm, with tear down immediately following the festival conclusion at 7:00pm-9:00pm on October 10.
