OH Art Foundation Open Call Exhibition

Curated by Candace Hunter, this exhibition is open to artists 18 years or older who reside in the United States, with Midwest-based artists especially encouraged. All 2D visual media will be considered, including paintings, drawings, photography, digital, and mixed media on the wall. Works should be thought-provoking, emotionally resonant, and relevant to the themes of the exhibit. Submissions must be original, and artists may submit up to 2 pieces for consideration. No sculptures or installations.

Artwork must be no larger than 12 ft width x 10 ft height including frame and ready for wall hanging. The application fee is $25.00 for up to 2 artwork applications. Artists are responsible for shipping and delivery to and from the gallery. The gallery takes a 40% commission on all sales. By submitting work, artists grant OH Art Foundation and Zhou B Art Center permission to publish their work in print, online, and on social media for exhibition and marketing purposes, with all artwork attributed to the artist.

The exhibition runs from January 16 to March 15, 2026, at the OH Art Foundation, 2nd floor gallery of Zhou B Art Center, 1029 W. 35th St., Chicago, IL 60609. Opening receptions are Friday, January 16th and February 20th, 2026, from 7 to 10 pm. Applications are open from October 24, 2025, with a deadline of November 30, 2025.
