About This Call
Oglebayfest is a juried artists' market and gourmet market festival held October 4-6, 2024. The application deadline is May 31, 2024, with an entry fee of $30 (nonrefundable). Applicants must submit 5 high-quality photos of individual artworks or products and 2 high-quality photos of booth setup. Booth setup photos are required for consideration.
The Artists' Market is open to all artists and crafters who exhibit and sell work of original concept and design, with all work handmade. No manufacturer representatives are accepted. The Gourmet Market accepts specialty food products not widely commercially available; applicants must be the company owner or principal producer. Booth space costs range from $175-$535 depending on tent size and whether the organizer provides the tent. Additional fees apply for electricity ($15), tables ($8), and chairs ($3). Booth space cost includes no commission on sales, artist's dinner, cash awards for Best of Show in Fine Arts, Crafts, and Gourmet Market, overnight security, booth side loading and unloading, booth sitters for breaks, and complimentary coffee and water.
Booth setup occurs October 3-4, with all booths required to be completely set up by noon on Friday, October 4th. Festival hours are noon-7 p.m. Friday, noon-7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Jury results will be emailed June 26th. Full payment of booth fees is due by August 1st. Refunds are available if cancelling by September 1st. Exhibitors must set up and dismantle their own displays and be present during festival hours. West Virginia Consumer Sales Tax must be collected on all sales. An Up & Coming Artist Program offers free booth space to artists with little to no festival exhibiting experience.
