About This Call
Oglebayfest is a juried artists' market and gourmet market festival held October 7-9, 2022 in West Virginia. The application deadline is June 10, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MDT, with a $25 nonrefundable application fee.
Applicants must submit 5-7 high-quality photos of individual artworks or products and 2 photos showing planned booth setup. For the Artists' Market, all work must be of original concept and design and handmade. For the Gourmet Market, items must be specialty food products not widely commercially available, and the applicant must be the company owner or principal producer. Jury results will be emailed June 30th.
Booth space costs vary: 10x10 tent provided by artist ($165), 10x20 tent provided by artist ($290), 10x10 space in festival tent ($290), or 10x20 space in festival tent ($525). Additional costs include electricity ($15), 8ft table ($10), and chair ($3). Booth space cost includes no commission on sales, artist's dinner, cash awards for Best of Show, overnight security, booth side loading and unloading, booth sitters for breaks, and complimentary coffee and water. Payment in full is due by August 1st. Booth setup occurs October 6-7, with all booths required to be completely set up by noon Friday, October 7th. Festival hours are noon-7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. An Up & Coming Artist Program offers free booth space to artists with little to no festival exhibition experience. Exhibitors who cancel after September 1st will not receive refunds. West Virginia Consumer Sales Tax must be collected on all sales.
