About This Call
The Oglebay Institute's Holiday Show & Sale is a juried exhibition providing artists with space, staff, and marketing resources to exhibit and sell their work. The institute handles all sales during the show run, so artists do not need to be present. Shoppers can purchase one-of-a-kind gifts while discovering the work of numerous artists and artisans.
Eligibility is open to all artists 18 and older who exhibit and sell work of original concept and design that is handmade. Gourmet food vendors may also apply if items are specialty food products not widely commercially available and the applicant is the company owner or principal producer. The application fee is $30.00 and requires submission of at least 5 images of work to be sold and 2 images showing planned exhibit arrangement. Exhibit spaces range from 3 to 8 feet with fees from $45.00 to $105.00 depending on size and location. Payment in full for exhibit space is due upon acceptance. The Oglebay Institute retains a 15% commission on sales. Setup dates are November 7-9, with the opening reception on November 15 from 5:30-8:30 pm. Tear down occurs January 2-4 from 10 am-4:00 pm. No refunds for cancellation after October 1, 2024. Artists must provide their own tools, shelves, tables, and setup materials. Each item must have a price tag including the exhibit space number, title, artist's name, and price.
