Oglebay Institute Holiday Show & Sale

The Oglebay Institute Holiday Art Show & Sale is a juried exhibition providing artists and artisans with space, staff, and marketing resources to exhibit and sell their work. The show offers the public a refreshing alternative to traditional retail, allowing shoppers to purchase one-of-a-kind gifts while discovering the work of numerous artists.

Eligibility is open to all artists 18 and older who exhibit and sell work of original concept and design that is handmade. Gourmet food vendors may also apply if items are specialty food products not widely commercially available and the applicant is the company owner or principal producer. The application fee is $30.00 and requires 5-7 images of work planned for sale plus at least one image showing the proposed exhibit arrangement. Exhibit spaces are indoors and range from 3 ft to 8 ft in length by 1.5 ft to 2.5 ft in depth, with rental fees ranging from $45.00 to $105.00 depending on size. Payment in full is due upon acceptance. The Oglebay Institute retains a 15% commission on sales. Setup dates are November 5 and 7-9, with teardown on December 27-28 and January 3-7. Notifications will be emailed the week of September 26, 2022. No refunds for cancellation after October 14, 2022. Artists must provide their own tools, shelves, tables, and setup; exhibit spaces are lighted but no other electricity is available. All items must have price tags including the exhibit space number, item title or name, artist's name, and price.
