Off Center: Third Annual International Ceramic Art Competition

Blue Line Arts presents the third annual "Off Center," an international ceramic art competition showcasing innovation in ceramic techniques and vision from around the world. The competition is open to ceramic artists everywhere. All artwork must be original and completed within the last two years, and cannot have been previously exhibited at Blue Line Arts. All wall pieces must be ready to hang, and all artwork must be for sale.

Entry fee is $35, which covers up to 3 image uploads; additional images are $5 each. Applicants must submit 3-10 images of their work. Artwork must be able to enter through gallery doors with clearance of 94"h x 91"w, ceilings are 10 feet high, and nothing over 60 lbs will be accepted. Accepted artwork that differs significantly from the submitted image will be disqualified. No accepted entry may be withdrawn or sold outside the exhibition prior to the closing date.

Awards include First Place ($1,000), Second Place ($500), Third Place ($300), and People's Choice ($100). The exhibition runs April 5-18, 2019, with an opening reception on April 20 from 5-8 pm and closing reception on May 18 from 5-8 pm. Artist notification is March 9, 2019. Shipping deadline is March 29, 2019, or hand delivery March 31-April 1 from 10 am-3 pm. Unsold work can be picked up May 19-20 from 10 am-3 pm. Blue Line Arts handles all sales transactions; non-member artists receive 50% commission and members receive 60% commission. The judge is Joshua Green, executive director of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
