About This Call
Off Center is the Second Annual International Ceramic Art Competition, open to international artists sharing their vision of ceramics. The competition invites artists to submit original ceramic work completed within the last two years.
Judge Michelle Gregor, a San Francisco Bay Area artist who creates sculpture in high fire ceramic and bronze, will select the winning entries. Awards include First Place: $1000, Second Place: $750, and Third Place: $500. The exhibition runs June 8 - July 21, 2018, with an opening reception on June 16th from 5 PM - 8:30 PM.
Entry fee is $35 (covers 3 image uploads); additional images are $5 each. Applicants must submit 3-10 images of their work. All artwork must be original, ready to hang (for 2-D works), and for sale. Size limitations: artwork must fit through doors with 94"h x 91"w clearance and weigh no more than 60 lbs. Artwork cannot have been previously exhibited at Blue Line Arts. Accepted artwork that differs significantly from submitted images will be disqualified. Blue Line Arts handles all sales transactions; non-member artists receive 50% commission and members receive 60% commission. Artists must be 18 years or older to apply. Applicants must apply using the form on the Blue Line Arts website at http://www.bluelinearts.org/call-to-artists. Shipping deadline is June 2nd, 2018; hand delivery is June 3rd or 4th from 10 AM - 3 PM. Artist notification is May 10, 2018. Unsold work can be picked up July 22-23 from 10 AM - 3 PM.
