About This Call

Off Center: An International Ceramic Competition showcases ceramic work from artists around the world. The exhibition celebrates ceramics in all forms, from traditional vessels to contemporary and experimental pieces that push the boundaries of the medium.

Eligibility is open to all artists 18 and older. Submissions must include 3-20 images of ceramic work. Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 images, with an additional $5 media fee per image beyond 3. Artwork cannot have been previously exhibited at Blue Line Arts and must be available for sale. Accepted artwork that differs significantly from submitted images will be disqualified.

Exhibition dates are May 21 - July 10, 2021. Artists will be notified of acceptance on April 16, 2021. Shipping deadline is May 2, 2021 (FedEx or UPS only; no USPS). Hand delivery is available May 16-17, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The opening reception is June 19, 2021, 5-8 p.m. Unsold work can be picked up July 11-12, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Cash prizes include $500 for 1st place, $300 for 2nd place, and $100 for 3rd place. Juror is Magdolene Dykstra, a ceramic artist and educator. Non-member artists receive 50% commission from gallery sales; members receive 60% commission. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and must include prepaid return labels.
