October National 2023

October National 2023 is an open national exhibition at the Madden Arts Center, Anne Lloyd Gallery in Decatur, Illinois, running October 6-26, 2023. All media are accepted. Entry fee is $30.00, and artists may submit 1-3 images of their work.

Wall-hung or 2D artwork must be framed or gallery wrapped, wired, and ready to hang, not exceeding 60 inches wide or 96 inches high. 3D artwork must be self-standing or fit on a 36 x 36 pedestal. All artwork must be able to be handled by one person and cannot be suspended from the ceiling. Any accessories needed for display must be included. The gallery reserves the right to install accepted works as deemed necessary for exhibition and/or security reasons.

Accepted work may be hand delivered or shipped. Artwork is due by September 22, 2023. Hand-delivered work is accepted during regular business hours, Tuesday-Friday 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Attach an identification label to the back of the work with the artist's name, title, and medium. Enclose return delivery costs and address label or prepaid shipping label with repacking instructions. No loose packing materials unless sealed in a bag. Crates must be simple to open and reseal, not exceed 60 inches, and be able to be handled by one person. Indicate value for return shipping insurance if not waived.

Eligibility: Open to artists 18 years old and over. Entries must be of original design with no giclee or other mechanical reproductions. Work must be executed within the last two years. Artists acknowledge and agree to all show rules and give permission to photograph works for documentation, education, and publicity purposes.
