October National 2018

Open to all U.S. artists 18 years old and over. Entries must be original art and design; mechanical reproductions of traditional media are not accepted. Work must be executed within the last two years.

All traditional art media accepted. Wall-hung or 2D artwork must be wired, ready to hang, and not exceed 60 inches wide or 96 inches high. 3D artwork must be self-standing or fit on a 36x36 inch pedestal. All artwork must be able to be handled by one person. No work can be suspended from the ceiling. Any accessories needed for display must be included. Pedestals provided by the gallery. Submit up to 3 jpeg images with a $30 entry fee. Accepted work is due at Gallery 510 by September 22, 2018. A 50% commission will be taken on work sold; artwork does not need to be for sale.

Judge: Tony Crowley, MFA from the University of Nebraska, Professor at Illinois State University. Awards: $500 Best of Show, $300 Breast Cancer Awareness Award, $300 1st Place in 2D, $200 2nd Place in 2D, $100 3rd Place in 2D, $300 1st Place in 3D, $200 2nd Place in 3D, $100 3rd Place in 3D. Notification of acceptance: August 3. Opening reception: October 5 at Madden Arts Center, Anne Lloyd Gallery. Exhibit closes October 27 at 2 p.m. Hand-delivered work pick-up: October 30, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shipped work returned by November 14.
