Ocala Art Group: A Toast to the Arts

A Toast to the Arts offers a unique opportunity for artists to showcase their creations in a premiere museum setting at the Appleton Museum of Art, College of Central Florida. The museum has reserved the Edith Marie Gallery space for this event. The Ocala Art Group encourages all artists in North Central Florida to participate.

Eligibility is open to all artists 18 years or older in north central Florida working in 2D (not to exceed 32 square feet) or 3D mediums, including oils, acrylics, mixed media, pastels, graphic, pen and ink, sculpture, and other hand-created artistic mediums. Photography and digital enhanced works are not eligible. Works must have been created after January 2010 and not previously exhibited at the Appleton Museum. All entries must be the original concept of the artist with no copies, reproductions, or compositions from published sources or based on other artists' work. Source materials must be available upon request. Accepted work must remain on display for the duration of the exhibit.

Entry fee is $45.00. Submit 1-3 images of your work. All artwork must be hand delivered to the museum; no shipments will be accepted. All art must be hand picked up at the end of the show. Pedestals for sculptures will be at the discretion of museum staff unless other arrangements are made prior to installation. The show will be juried and judged with award money exceeding $1,500. The judge is award-winning arts journalist Bill James.
