About This Call

Observica contemporary art magazine invites visual artists worldwide to submit original artwork for the 16th issue, Special Edition 2021. The magazine is published in both online and high-quality print-on-demand versions on full-color glossy A4-sized pages, distributed to thousands of art experts, collectors, art enthusiasts, galleries, museums, and art institutions from over 100 countries.

Submission is free. Selected artists will be published in at least 2 pages of the magazine, including artist photo, biography, and 1 to 5 artworks. Selected artists must pay a USD 200 selection fee to confirm acceptance for publishing. The magazine's editorial will determine the number of pages (2, 4, or 6) assigned to each artist. All published artists receive social media promotional badges, digital certificates, readers' ratings and comments, analytic reports, and a free online profile page on the Biafarin platform. Each artist's photo and biography will be published on one full A4-sized page, with each artwork image showcased on a separate page including artwork data, artist photo, and a lifetime active link with QR code.

Artists can submit up to 10 original pieces in 2 and 3-dimensional media. Artworks must be entirely the work of the entrant, executed without instructor supervision, and preferably created within the past 5 years. There is no size limit. Only the artwork should appear in photos (no frames or extraneous backgrounds). Artists must have all rights for international publishing. Artworks containing pornography, violence, racial or religious hatred, or inappropriate/offensive content are not admissible. Entries must not be copies or derivatives of copyrighted or published work. Selected artists may be asked to provide high resolution artwork photos if needed.
