About This Call
Observica, a Canadian contemporary art magazine published quarterly by Discover the Artist media holding, invites visual artists worldwide to submit original artwork for the 33rd issue (Elite Edition 2025). The magazine is distributed in both online and high-quality print-on-demand versions in full-color, glossy A4 format, reaching thousands of art experts, collectors, galleries, museums, and art institutions from over 150 countries.
Submission is free. Selected artists will receive 2 dedicated A4 colorful pages featuring their artwork image with artwork data and a lifetime active link with QR code on one page, and their artist photo and biography on another. Additional benefits include a free online artist profile page on the Biafarin platform, a digital promotional badge for social media sharing, a digital certificate, and potential feature on Artsy.net. One artwork will be selected for the magazine's front cover. All selected artists must pay a fixed selection fee of USD 200 to confirm acceptance (early bird rate of USD 80 available for first selections). A money-back guarantee applies until the opening day.
Artists may submit up to 10 original artworks in any visual art medium (painting, drawing, printmaking, illustration, digital arts, photography, sculpture, etc.). Artworks must be entirely the artist's own work, preferably created within the past 5 years, with no size restrictions. Artists must hold all rights for international publication. Submissions close October 27, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. The jury process uses a two-phase system: initial Yes/No selection followed by scoring from 1-10 by 3-5 jury members.
