About This Call
Observica contemporary art magazine invites visual artists worldwide to submit original artwork for the 30th issue (Prime Edition 2024). The magazine is published in both online and high-quality print-on-demand versions in full-color glossy A4 format and is distributed to thousands of art experts, collectors, galleries, museums, and art institutions across over 150 countries.
Each selected artist receives 2 dedicated A4 colorful pages: one page featuring the artist's photo and biography, and another presenting the artwork's image with artwork data, artist photo, and a lifetime active link with QR code. Additional benefits include a free online artist profile page, social media shareable artwork badge, digital certificate, and permanent online accessibility of all magazine pages to boost artist visibility and SEO. One artwork will be selected for the magazine's front cover. All magazine readers can submit reviews and ratings of artworks online, with artists notified of feedback by email.
Submission is free. Selected artists must pay a fixed selection fee of USD 200 to proceed with publication (early bird rate of USD 120 available for first acceptances). A money-back guarantee applies until the opening day. Artists may submit 1-10 original artworks in any visual arts medium (painting, drawing, printmaking, illustration, digital arts, photography, sculpture, etc.). Artworks must be entirely the entrant's original work, preferably created within the past 5 years, with no size restrictions. Artists must hold all rights for international publication. Ineligible content includes pornography, violence, racial or religious hatred, and offensive material. The jury process uses two phases: Yes/No selection followed by scoring (1-10 scale) by 3-5 jury members, with highest-scoring artworks selected.
