About This Call
Sanchez Art Center invites all California visual artists 18 years and older to enter "O Say Can You See… The Soul of Our Nation," a juried in-gallery exhibition running from May 29 to June 28, 2026. The exhibition showcases art that embodies and envisions aspirations for the future of the country and its peoples. Works will be displayed in the East Gallery at Sanchez Art Center, with images also available through the organization's virtual galleries and a print-on-demand catalog.
Artists may submit up to three artworks in 2D, 3D, or video formats. Each submission requires an artist statement reflecting on the exhibition theme. The entry fee is $15.00, with an additional $15.00 media fee for each additional entry. Submissions must include a minimum of 1 and maximum of 3 work samples (images and/or video combined). Artists will be notified of juror results by April 27, 2026, and must confirm acceptance by April 29, 2026. The exhibition is co-curated by Barbara Kibbe and the Sanchez East Gallery Committee, with juror Jeff Raz, founder of Citizen Joy, a national coalition of artists and arts organizations using art to advance democratic rights and freedoms.
