NW Art Beat 2021 Open Studio Tour presented by Skagit Artists

Skagit Artists, a 501(c)(3) organization, invites artists from Skagit, Island, San Juan, Snohomish, and Whatcom counties to participate in the 17th annual NW Art Beat Open Studios Tour on July 17 and 18, 2021, from 10am to 6pm. This is a free, self-guided tour of Skagit County art studios featuring juried artists from these five counties, showcasing local talent and giving the public an insider view of working studios.

Art must be shown in a working studio or business located in Skagit County that is appropriate for public visitation. If displaying work in a business, the business must purchase a $250 sponsorship (due by April 1, 2021), and the artist must conduct one scheduled demonstration each day. Rented spaces are not accepted. Artists without a suitable studio in Skagit County may request to be hosted by another artist; Skagit Artists will assist in finding appropriate space. If no suitable studio becomes available after acceptance, all fees will be refunded.

Application deadline is February 26, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Applicants must submit 3 JPEG images through Café at www.callforentry.org representing actual work to be offered for sale. The non-refundable application fee is $35 for both members and non-members. If accepted, participation fees are $175 for Skagit Artists members and $250 for non-members, plus a $75 refundable sign fee. Skagit Artists members may obtain sponsorship donations to offset participation fees (up to $175 refund available for each sponsorship dollar obtained by May 15, 2021). Membership costs $55 annually and must be purchased by March 31, 2021 to qualify for this event. Participation fees are due by March 31, 2021. Artists are responsible for insuring their own work and space. All participants must collect visitor information, provide sales data, distribute tour guides and posters, promote the event through their networks, and commit to a promotional task requiring approximately 10 hours or less.
