NSS SouthCal at Sparks

NSS SouthCal at Sparks is a sculpture exhibition organized by the National Sculpture Society in partnership with Sparks Gallery. Sculptors may submit up to 3 works with a maximum of 6 images (2 images per work if necessary). The entry fee is $25 for non-members; NSS members with paid dues submit free. Images must be submitted in JPEG format, no smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side, at 72 ppi/dpi resolution. Do not include your name in the image file title, as works are juried anonymously.

A jury of three NSS Fellows—Amy Kann, Marc Mellon, and Sandy Scott—will review all submissions online and recommend 26 sculptors with one or two works each for inclusion. The final selection of works will be made by the gallery owner, with the number of accepted works determined in part by available wall and floor space. Works in bas-relief are encouraged. All applicants will be notified on September 15, 2016. The exhibition runs from January 7 through March 5, 2017.

Selected sculptors will be asked to sign a contract with Sparks Gallery and return it by September 30, 2016, along with headshots for the gallery website and any available videos or photos of artists working on their pieces. Sales of works will be handled by Sparks Gallery exclusively. The National Sculpture Society is involved only in an advisory capacity and will not be held responsible for any damages related to the exhibition.
