About This Call
Now Trending is the Fourth Annual Alpay Scholarship University Student Juried Exhibition, running June 8 – July 7, 2019. Current art students from leading Southern California art programs are invited to submit dynamic new work inspired by the cultural landscape of Los Angeles.
The exhibition is open to all current Southern California university art students. All media are considered, with new media encouraged. There is no submission fee. Artists may submit up to three works, uploading one image for 2-dimensional works or video, or up to three images for each 3-dimensional work. The submission deadline is April 30, 2019. The winning submission will be awarded a $5,000 scholarship.
The juror is Shana Nys Dambrot, Arts Editor for LA Weekly, an art critic, curator, and author based in Downtown LA. Since 1998, The Beverly G. Alpay Memorial Education Fund has provided almost $200,000 in funds to support artists from high school students to working professionals. For questions, contact [email protected].
