Now Trending: Alpay Scholarship Exhibition
Current art and media students from Southern California colleges and universities are invited to submit new work to be showcased in Palos Verdes Art Center's Alpay Scholarship Exhibition. One $5,000 scholarship will be awarded. This call is open to undergraduate and graduate students. All media are considered, including painting, drawing, printing, sculpture, glass, ceramics, fiber art, photography, video, film, VR, AR, installation art, performance art, sound art, and mixed media.
Juror Dennis Keeley is an artist, photographer, teacher, and writer whose photographs have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions and published internationally. His work is in the permanent collections at LACMA, MOCA, and the J. Paul Getty Center Trust, among others. He is the chair of the Photography and Imaging Program at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
Eligibility is open to all current Southern California college and university art and media studies students. There is no submission fee. Up to three submissions are permitted. The submission deadline is April 15, 2020, and exhibition dates are June 6 – July 2, 2020. Since 1998, The Beverly G. Alpay Memorial Education Fund has provided almost $200,000 in funds to support the artistic journey of talented artists from high school students to working professionals.
