About This Call
November 2019 Group Art Show. Entry fee: $17. Entry deadline: Tuesday, October 1st. Maximum artwork size: 48" width x 72" height. Exhibition dates: Wednesday, October 30th through Wednesday, November 27th, 2019. First Friday Artist Reception: November 1st, 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm (free for the general public).
Artists receive 75% of sales. Patrons purchase art through the gallery, and the gallery pays artists by Wednesday, December 4th. Local artists are required to attend the First Friday reception and participate for its entirety or better part of it, and must stay on the floor of their art and engage with the public in trying to sell their work. Out-of-state artists are not required to replace sold artwork. Art purchased may be taken by the patron at time of payment. Artists are notified by email of sales and should have replacement art ready at their earliest convenience.
Local artwork delivery: Friday, October 25th (11am to 7pm) and Saturday, October 26th (11am to 5pm). Pick-up: Friday, November 29th (11am to 7pm) and Saturday, November 30th (11am to 5pm). All art must be labeled on the back with artist's name, title, media, price, and best contact method. A display (no larger than 3.5"x8.5") must be printed for each piece including name, artwork title, media, size, and price. Art must be wired on the back ready to hang.
National artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. FED EX is the preferred shipping method. All shipments must include a prepaid return shipping label. Artwork must be shipped in strong, reusable cartons or crates with reusable packing material. Unsold artwork will be returned within two weeks following the closing date. Jones Gallery will not accept postage stamps, credit card numbers, or shipping accounts for return of artwork. Jones Gallery is not responsible for return of artwork if shipping label is not prepaid. Artists are responsible for independently insuring their own work. Work not picked up within 45 days from the last day of the show will be donated to a local Kansas City charity.
