About This Call
Not Your Typical Love Story (NYTLS Year 3) is an annual exhibition seeking art that explores the many facets of love and its power to create positive change in the world. The call was created to counter commercialism and materialism while promoting empathy and a deeper understanding of love's potential as a remedy for injustice and division.
Artists are invited to submit work that demonstrates how loving one's neighbor could make a difference in the world, showing that love can triumph over hate and inspire others to create change. The exhibition welcomes all 2D and 3D visual art mediums. Artists must submit 1-5 images with an artist's statement. Entry fee is $35. Notification of acceptance will be sent by 12/30/17. Accepted work must arrive by 1/15/18 and will be on display from 1/23/18 through 3/1/18. An artists' reception is scheduled for 2/10/18 from 5-8pm.
