Not Just: A World Collage Day Exhibition

Maude Kerns Art Center in Eugene, Oregon is hosting an open call for 15 international artists (artists living outside the United States) to celebrate World Collage Day on May 13, 2023. Curated by Beth I. Robinson and Michael James, this exhibition celebrates the annual international recognition of collage initiated by Kolaj Magazine in 2018. Collage has a rich history creating community and has been used to process unimaginable world and individual events. The collage community is generous and welcoming while demonstrating what salvage, collaboration, creativity, and healing can look like.

Entries in 2D analog or digital collage in all media will be considered, including drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, mixed media, and any other forms of assemblage and material. Sculpture and 3D collage are not eligible. Artists must be able to produce a 300 dpi or higher resolution scan of their artwork for printing, with an image size limit of 12x12 inches. Each application must include up to three images (one image per piece), an artist statement, artist bio, and a $45 entry fee. The entry deadline is February 10, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
