Northwest Reflections: The people and places of the Northwest through artists' eyes

North Beach Artists Guild invites artists to submit 2D work including drawing, painting, or flat collage in any media (oil, watercolor, pastel, ink, acrylic, or other). Photographic images are accepted only as incorporated into artwork. Work must be original, completed entirely by the entrant, and based upon the artist's fully owned photos or images. Recent work only, completed within the last 3 years. Size is restricted to 384 square inches (e.g., 16x24). Work may be for sale but is not required. Artwork will be judged using digital images.

Entry deadline is June 16, 2021. Acceptance notifications will be sent July 7, 2021. The online exhibit opens July 19, 2021, and the onsite exhibit at The Gallery of Ocean Shores runs August 18 to September 30, 2021, with a reception on August 21, 2021. The juror is Michael D'Alessandro, Exhibits Director of Northwind Arts Center in Port Townsend, WA. Awards include cash prizes for Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, and 6 Honorable Mentions, totaling at least $1400. Award winners will be invited to display their work onsite. At least one image per artist will be included in an online catalog if the artwork is judged appropriate and the digital image meets requirements.

The $35 entry fee covers up to 3 images and is paid through CAFE via credit card or PayPal. Fees are non-refundable and do not guarantee acceptance. Submit images in high-resolution JPG format, not exceeding 5MB and 1200 pixels on the longest side. Images should include only the artwork with no frames or backgrounds. Poor quality images may be excluded from consideration. The Sponsor will promote the exhibit and may reproduce any entered artwork in whole or in part for advertising, marketing, and promotional purposes. The Sponsor will put prospective buyers in touch with artists via email; no commission will be charged. Artists must notify the sponsor of sales so the online catalog can be updated. Artwork without a sales price will be considered Not For Sale (NFS).
