Northwest Expressions

Northwest Expressions is a juried exhibition presenting contemporary works of artists in the region. Selected works will be exhibited at Northwind Art's Jeanette Best Gallery, 701 Water Street, Port Townsend, WA from August 23 - September 29, 2024.

Eligibility: Artists must be 18 years of age or older from Washington or Oregon. Entries must be original, entirely the work of the entrant, and executed within the last three years. Work in both two- and three-dimensions, including ceramics, fiber, jewelry, and photography is eligible. All submitted works must be for sale. A maximum of three entries may be submitted per artist with no size requirements or limitations. Artists must submit one image per artwork showing the artwork in its entirety (jpg/jpeg format, at least 1200 pixels on the smallest side, 1920 pixels or greater on the longest side, no larger than 5MB).

Awards and Fees: $500 One Juror's Choice Award, $300 Three Merit Awards, $150 People's Choice Award. Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 entries (non-refundable). Artwork will be juried online by Richard Jesse Watson and Jesse Joshua Watson, judging the quality and creative voice of the work. Selected artwork must be hand delivered and picked up at the gallery (if not sold); no shipped work will be accepted. Drop-off dates: August 19, 1pm-5pm and August 20, 9am-1pm. Pick-up dates: September 30, 10am-3pm and October 1, 10am-3pm. Northwind Art will pay artists 50% of the retail selling price for sold work.
