North East Watercolor Society's 49th Annual National Juried Exhibit

The North East Watercolor Society is pleased to announce that the 49th Annual Juried Exhibition for 2025 is open for entries. The show is open to all watercolor artists in the United States and will take place at the Kent Art Association in Kent, Connecticut. Over $6,000 in cash and merchandise awards will be presented. The juror is Soon Y. Warren AWS, TWS, NWS, TWSA, SW.

Entry Period: 5/12/25-7/21/25. Notification of Accepted Work: 8/19/25. Delivery of Accepted Work: 10/4/25. Reception and Awards: 10/26/25. Shipped work will be received 9/30/25-10/3/25 from 10-4 a.m. Pick up is 10/26/25 after the awards ceremony. A handling fee of $30 (payable by check only) applies to shipped work.

Entry fees: Members may submit 1 or 2 paintings for $45 (only one may be selected). Non-members may submit 1 painting for $55. Artwork must be submitted and paid for online via CaFE. Images must be JPEG or JPG format, 1920 pixels on the longest side, 300 dpi, and 3 MB maximum. Paintings must be executed within the last 4 years and not previously exhibited in a NEWS International Exhibition. Watercolor on Paper, Yupo, and Aquaboard are allowed. Minor amounts of pencil, opaque white, gouache, and watercolor pencil (in fluid form) are allowed. Acrylic, Casein, Egg Tempera, Ink, Magic Marker, Charcoal, Pastel, Collage, prints, and reproductions are not permitted.
