About This Call
This juried members exhibition is open to national artists 18 years or older with current NBMAA membership. Original works in all media executed during the past two years and never previously exhibited at the Museum are eligible. Up to three works per artist may be submitted, with a maximum of one work per artist accepted.
The exhibition runs October 12-27, 2013, with a reception and awards ceremony on Sunday, October 13 from 1-2:30 p.m. Prizes include First Prize ($1,000), Second Prize ($500), Third Prize ($250), Juror's Award (upgraded membership and NBMAA blog interview), and Visitor's Choice (blog interview and website write-up). The juror is Lexi Lee Sullivan, Assistant Curator at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, MA.
Submission deadline is September 1, 2013. Entry fee is $10 per work, with an additional $10 media fee for each additional submitted media. Submissions accepted through CaFE only. Two-dimensional work must be framed and ready for installation, not exceeding 84 inches in any dimension and 75 pounds. Three-dimensional work cannot exceed 48 inches in any dimension and 150 pounds. Video and sound installations require artist-provided equipment. All selected work must be completely dry at drop-off and cannot be removed during the exhibition.
