Nor Easter: The NBMAA 48th Annual Juried Members Exhibition

This is the NBMAA's 48th Annual Juried Members Exhibition. The exhibition runs June 23-July 15, 2018, with a reception and awards ceremony on Sunday, June 24, 1-2:30 p.m.

Eligibility: National artists 18 years or older with current NBMAA membership. Original works accepted in all media, executed during the past two years and never previously exhibited at this Museum. Up to three works per artist may be submitted, with a maximum of one work per artist selected. Entry fee is $10.00 per submitted work, with an additional $10.00 media fee for each additional piece.

Artwork Guidelines: Two-dimensional work must be framed and ready for installation with hanging hardware already installed; work cannot exceed 84 inches in any dimension or 75 pounds. Three-dimensional work cannot exceed 48 inches in any dimension and cannot exceed 150 lbs. Installations with complex procedures must include detailed installation instructions with reference photos. Artists must provide equipment for video or sound work. The Museum prohibits glitter, wet paint, sharp objects, open flames, balloons, spray, dangerous chemicals, weapons, pressurized containers, plants, animals, hazardous materials, decaying materials, or anything deemed harmful to the collection.

Prizes: First Prize $1,000, Second Prize $500, Third Prize $250, Juror's Award (Upgraded Membership to Friend's Circle level), and Visitor's Choice (Upgraded Membership to Friend's Circle level). Juror: Stephanie Haboush Plunkett, Deputy Director and Chief Curator of the Norman Rockwell Museum.

Submissions accepted only through CaFÉ. Deadline for submissions: April 20, 2018. Notification: May 14, 2018. Receiving of accepted works: June 7, 2018, 3-7 p.m. Deadline for shipped artwork: June 11, 2018. Pick-up of displayed works: July 18, 2018, 1-5 p.m. The Museum will not be responsible for any damage before, during, or after the exhibition. Work not picked up by the designated date will become property of the Museum.
