About This Call
This is a national juried art exhibition for original two-dimensional artwork. Artists may submit a maximum of five pieces per artist. Artwork must be original in design, concept, and execution, completed after June 1, 2021, and must not have been displayed in any previous NOAA national show. All reference photos must have been taken by the artist. Artists must be eighteen years of age or older at the time of submission.
Acceptable media includes paintings (oil, acrylic, water media, pastel, encaustic, and egg tempera) and drawings (Conte-crayon, colored pencil, graphite, charcoal, pen and ink, and scratchboard). Non-acceptable media includes reproductions, prints, photography, videos, crafts, jewelry, three-dimensional works, textiles, fiber art, collages, montages, and computer-generated elements. Artwork must not exceed 60 inches in width and 80 inches in length, including the frame, and must be at least 8 inches in length or width. Maximum weight is 35 pounds. Artwork must be dry and prepared with wire and screw-eyes or D-rings for hanging. Gallery-wrapped submissions must be a minimum of 1 1/4 inches deep with all edges finished and no visible staples or hooks.
Entry fees are $50 for one to three entries, or $40 for NOAA members in good standing. Two additional entries may be submitted for $10 each. Submissions must be made as high-quality JPEG files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images should be cropped to show only the artwork with no visible matting, frames, or background, and must be oriented correctly. The entry deadline is July 31, 2024. For questions, contact Linda Hart at [email protected].
