About This Call

Goethe Pop Up Seattle, in partnership with Ken Winnick, invites 3D artists to submit original work for a combined digital and physical exhibition entitled No Longer and Not Yet. The call asks artists to submit works that represent a true and lived experience from 2020, reflecting creatively upon their thoughts, hopes, and frustrations, and works that come from a place of uncertainty and contemplate a world in the future.

The exhibition consists of two components: a high-quality digital display of photographs and videos of selected 3D artworks from national and international artists, and a solo exhibition of 3-5 physical works from one selected King County artist, presented as "Curator's Choice." Both will be on display November 14 to December 12 at Das Schaufenster Gallery, an artist-run experimental window space in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood. The digital works will also be featured on Vimeo. Honorariums will be awarded to all selected artists and are grant supported: $1,000 for the selected Curator's Choice artist and $250 per artist selected for the digital display.

Entry is open to beginning, intermediate, and established career artists nationally and internationally. For the digital display only, artists may enter one work with up to five still photographs (JPG only, under 5MB, minimum 1200 pixels on longest side) or one 10-12 second video (MP4 only, under 100MB, 640x480 to 1920x1080 resolution, 30 fps). Entry fee is $15. King County artists may also apply for Curator's Choice by submitting 3-5 additional photographs of 3-5 unique artworks for a $20 entry fee. Selected Curator's Choice artwork must be hand-delivered or mailed with pre-paid return shipping by November 5-7, 2020. Artwork pickup is December 13-14, 2020. The exhibition is funded in part by King County 4CULTURE.
