Niveous Gift

Niveous Gift is a group fine art exhibition that unites artists who wish to explore art inspired by the many months of winter. Artists from across the country are invited to fill Lakeside Arts Park at the Dole with paintings, sculptures and fine art creations which examine the beauty found in the wonderland of ice and cold. The exhibition is open to all local, national, and international artists at the amateur or professional level. All art mediums will be considered. All work should be related to the winter theme.

Deadline for submissions is September 28, 2018. Entry fee is $25.00 (nonrefundable and nontransferable). Submit professional/high-resolution JPG images titled with actual dimensions and accurate orientation. All image files must be a minimum of 300dpi with the longest dimension being no smaller than 1200 pixels. Only original pieces will be accepted; no prints. Work will be judged based on both the quality of the art and the clarity of the piece's relevance to the winter theme.

Accepted artwork must be hand-delivered to Lakeside Arts Park at 401 Country Club Road, Crystal Lake, IL 60014 between November 12-16, 2018 (10am-4pm), or mailed to arrive between November 1-20, 2018. Artwork must be professionally presented, framed, and wired (no saw tooth). The exhibition runs December 1, 2017 – January 4, 2019, with an opening reception on Friday, December 7, 2018 (5:00-8:00pm). Accepted work for sale is subject to a 30% commission. Artists must sign a gallery agreement upon acceptance. Artwork pickup is January 7-8, 2019 (10am-3pm). If artwork is not picked up by the agreed upon date, a $75 storage fee will be assessed; after 30 days the work becomes the property of Lakeside Legacy Foundation.
