About This Call
Nine Dot Arts maintains an artist database used internally by their team of art consultants. After clients complete a visual preference survey, the consultants refer to the database to select appropriate art for presentation.
Nine Dot Arts presents work in all styles and mediums including paintings, prints, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, and other art media. They typically place larger works (20" x 20" and larger) in corporate spaces. Smaller series of works can be used in multiples. The organization rarely works with nudes, strong political tones, and religious iconography. Artists whose work consists solely of these subjects are advised to reconsider applying.
Applications require a minimum of 10 images of work created in the past two years, a pricing structure or price list, an artist statement, and contact information. There is no submission fee. Artists may submit 10-20 images per application, with a maximum of 5 applications per artist. Nine Dot Arts operates on a 50/50 retail split with artists. The artist is responsible for shipping artwork to Nine Dot Arts; return shipping is paid by Nine Dot Arts if needed. For local artists, artwork transport to and from the office for client presentations is the artist's responsibility. Payment is made 30 days after receipt of payment from the client. Nine Dot Arts has no contracts with artists and does not represent them; all artists are free to sell through other venues. The organization's team meets monthly to review submissions and will contact artists directly if interested in presenting their work.
