Nicolaysen Art Museum Neon Gala - Call for Art

The Nicolaysen Art Museum is seeking submissions for the 38th Annual NIC Art Auction & Dinner, "The Neon Gala," taking place September 8, 2023. This is the museum's most important annual fundraiser, connecting central Wyoming's arts patrons and collectors with fine artists throughout the region.

Artists may submit up to four original works completed within the last five years. All pieces must be valued at $300 or more. Works on canvas must be framed or have finished edges. Frames must be in good condition with screw eyes and hanging wire firmly attached to the back. Submissions will be juried by Sue Sommers (Pinedale-area artist) and Justin Hayward (Casper College painting instructor). The exhibition opens August 26, 2023, and runs through September 8, 2023.

Accepted artworks will be consigned, with proceeds split 50/50 between the artist and the museum. A "Buy It Now" price option will be offered at 30% higher than the stated minimum bid. Artists are encouraged to consider donating their sold piece's top bid to further support the museum. Artwork must be delivered by August 22, 2023, to Nicolaysen Art Museum, 400 E. Collins Dr., Casper, WY 82601, Attn: Neon Gala Committee. Unsold works must be picked up by September 23, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. The museum is not responsible for damage or theft. Submissions are open to any artist.
