About This Call

Honeywell Arts & Entertainment is calling for entries for the inaugural University Art Exhibition, a statewide juried exhibition for artists currently enrolled in a higher education program in Indiana. The exhibition focuses on currently enrolled college students pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's Degree in any field of fine art and/or craft. Students pursuing other degrees are welcome to apply but should consider the competitive nature of this call. Jurors will consider works of the highest artistic quality and merit, regardless of individual degree path. Awards will be announced at the Closing Reception. Artists are encouraged but not required to attend.

The Clark Gallery, located in the Honeywell Center in Wabash, Indiana, hosts at least 10 exhibits per year and features students, amateurs, and professionals. The gallery encompasses the semi-circle of the Honeywell Center Porter Lobby with foot traffic exceeding 170,000 guests per year. Honeywell Arts & Entertainment encompasses the full range of arts opportunities and venues of The Honeywell Foundation, a nonprofit public arts charity dedicated to providing arts, education, and entertainment opportunities for all.

Artwork must be original and completed within three years of the entry deadline. Submissions may include any 2-D or 3-D work (3-D must be displayable within gallery confines). Submissions must be no taller than 8.5 ft, no more than 2 ft in depth, and no more than 5 ft wide. Two-dimensional work should be framed or attached to a display board with suggested colors of white, black, charcoal, or gray. Three-dimensional work must be stable; work requiring special stands must be provided by the artist. Artwork requiring suspension, water, perishable food, or electricity is prohibited. All accepted work must remain on display until January 22, 2025. HAE retains a 20% commission on all sales. Artwork must arrive by December 9, 2024; artists are responsible for shipping costs and insurance. Awards include Best of Show ($175), First Place 2D ($150), Second Place 2D ($100), Third Place 2D ($85), First Place 3D ($150), Second Place 3D ($100), and Third Place 3D ($85). Exhibition runs December 11, 2024 – January 22, 2025.
