#NewVisions2021: A Student Exhibition

#NewVisions2021: A Student Exhibition is an open-themed collegiate student photo competition presented by Texas Photographic Society. The competition is open to college students at least 18 years old who are enrolled in a college credit course (undergraduate, graduate, or continuing education/noncredit). All skill levels are encouraged to apply.

Students may submit up to 12 images, with each image judged independently. Any photographic-based work is welcome, including digital, silver, alternative processes, mixed media incorporating photography, collage, and book arts. Works exhibited previously in a TPS exhibition are not eligible. The exhibition will be juried by Eric T. Kunsman, Lecturer in Visual Communications Studies at Rochester Institute of Technology. The juror will select 50 images for the online exhibition, which will be showcased on the TPS website gallery and promoted to the TPS community.

Entry fees are $25 for current TPS student members or $30 for non-members, covering 5 images with an additional $6 per image over the minimum. Students may submit up to 12 images total. Awards include: First Place $300 plus a Fujifilm X-E4 camera kit with XF-27mm F2.8 R WR lens (courtesy of Fujifilm USA), Second Place $200, Third Place $100, and up to 5 Honorable Mentions. All entries must be submitted as JPG files with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side and 5 MB maximum. For each image, provide the title and process used. The deadline for entry is April 26, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Exhibiting artists will be announced on May 14, 2021 when the online gallery opens.
