New School Abstract Juried Competition and Gallery Exhibition

ShockBoxx Gallery, a cutting edge gallery in Hermosa Beach, is seeking abstract artists for an upcoming group exhibition at the end of August. All mediums are welcome. Artworks will be judged based on creativity, interpretation, originality, quality of work, composition, and overall artistic ability. Jurors include Mike Collins (ShockBoxx gallery owner), Sarah Svetlana, Preston M. Smith, and Astrid Parker.

Entry fee is $25 for a single image submission, with additional images available at $5 per image (up to 5 images total). Video and audio uploads are also available. Work samples can include 1-5 images, 0-4 audio files, and 0-4 video files, with a minimum of 1 total sample required. Top artist submissions will win a cash prize and award certificate, as well as featured wall space in the exhibition. Winners will be announced in early August via email and published on the competition website.

If selected for the gallery exhibition, details for sending or delivering work to the gallery will be provided via email for the show in late August/early September 2019. This competition is open to international artists.
