New Photography III: National Juried Exhibition

New Photography III is the Academy Art Museum's national juried photography exhibition, returning in its third year with artist, publisher and editor Kris Graves as juror. The open call invites photographers at any stage of their career to submit a cohesive body of work comprising five images made between 2019 and 2021. The juror will select between 13-15 artists for the exhibition.

Submissions must include exactly 5 images. All work must be produced and printed within the last three years and may not exceed 40 inches in any direction, excluding the frame. Lens-based works with 3D components are eligible. Artists must be at least 21 years of age at the time of submission. The entry fee is $30.00.

Selected artists are responsible for framing and shipping costs. A small number of need-based scholarships for shipping and framing are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Artwork must arrive at the Academy Art Museum by March 15, 2022 in museum-quality frames and ready to hang (only wires and d-rings are accepted) with a return shipping label. The exhibition runs April 5 – July 10, 2022, with an opening reception and awards ceremony on April 8. Juror: Kris Graves, Photographer and Publisher, New York, NY.
