New Painting

New Painting is an online exhibition running June 15 – July 15, 2023, seeking a wide variety of painting styles and movements united by unique investigations of surface, depth, color, and form. Site:Brooklyn aims to bring together the most exciting work in contemporary painting, whether belonging to a distinct tradition, intermingling genres and techniques, or striving to form a new visual language altogether.

This juried exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age or older working in all painting media. Only original works may be submitted. Submissions require 3–9 images. Entry fee is $26.00 for three images, plus $10 for each additional image. All entries must be received by May 15, 2023 at 11:59 PM MT. Notification of acceptance will be sent May 24, 2023. Once accepted, artists must upload high-resolution photo files of their work.

All artwork must be priced for sale and remain available for sale during the exhibition. Artists will retain a 60% commission on all exhibition sales. Entry fees are non-refundable. The exhibition is juried by Rachel Gugelberger, curator of visual arts at Wave Hill in the Bronx. For questions, contact [email protected].
