New Orleans de Nuit

New Orleans de Nuit is a photography exhibition inspired by Brassaï's 1933 publication "Paris de Nuit," which elevated night photography to an art form. This call invites photographers whose work explores the nocturnal character of New Orleans—capturing the city's mysterious and enigmatic soul beyond tourism and revelry. Submissions must be photographs taken in New Orleans. Digitally manipulated images are accepted, but AI-generated photos are not permitted.

The exhibition runs July 12 through August 3, 2025 at Second Story Gallery (2372 St Claude Ave, New Orleans, LA 70117). Entry is open to all photographers internationally; NOPA membership is not required. Submission fees are $25 for members and $35 for non-members. Artists may submit up to 5 images in JPEG or JPG format, under 5MB, with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side. The application deadline is May 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists will be notified of acceptance by June 14, 2025. Selected works must be delivered framed and ready to hang by June 30, 2025. Sales are divided with the gallery receiving 10%, the Photo Alliance receiving 15%, and the artist receiving 75% of the retail price. Artists are responsible for all shipping fees and assume legal responsibility for their work.
