New Kids on the Block Juried Exhibition

New Kids on the Block is a juried exhibition featuring emerging artists, including college students and recent graduates. The exhibition highlights multi-faceted work created by traditional and non-traditional students and recent graduates working across the region.

Eligibility is open to emerging artists residing in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. All media will be considered, including photographs, drawings, paintings, prints, ceramics, sculptures, video, installation, digital art, and mixed media pieces. Entry fee is $25 for up to 4 images submitted via callforentry.org. Payments can be made at the time of entry through CAFÉ or with check or money order made payable to K12 Gallery & TEJAS. Artists accepted to exhibit will not be charged additional fees.

The exhibition runs March 1-30, 2019, at TEJAS Gallery in Dayton, OH. Submission deadline is February 1, 2019. Notifications will be emailed February 6, 2019. Artwork drop-off days are Saturday, February 23 (10am-2pm) and Monday, February 25 (9:30am-6pm). Shipped artwork must arrive by Monday, February 25, 2019. The opening reception is Friday, April 1, 2019, 6:30-8:30pm. Jurors are Ann B. Kim (Associate Professor of Fine Arts, Indiana University East), Danielle Rante (Associate Professor of Art, Wright State University), and Bridgette Bogel (Associate Professor of Art, Sinclair Community College). All work, unless marked not for sale (NFS), will be available for sale during the exhibition. K12 Gallery & TEJAS retains a 20% commission on all artwork sold. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and for insuring work during shipping, travel, and exhibition.
