New Jersey Emerging Artists

This exhibition is open to full-time New Jersey residents. Artists must submit 10 digital images of different artworks per portfolio via ShowSubmit. The submission fee is $20 per portfolio with no refunds. Images must be in JPEG format, at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge at 300 dpi/ppi, and no larger than 30 MB.

Artwork will be considered in all media including drawing, print, painting, mixed media, photography, and sculpture. Submissions should be cohesive in artistic vision and media but not repetitive. All submitted artwork must be original creations by the artist and no more than 5 years old. Reproductions, photocopies, commercial prints, and Giclée reproductions are not accepted. Prints of digitally created art and photography are permitted. Any work derived from another source must identify and credit the source. All selected artwork must be for sale and available for the duration of the exhibition.

Selected artwork must be wired, framed (if applicable), and ready to hang with no saw-tooth hangers or magnets. Sculpture must be less than 10 feet in height or width and able to fit through a standard door (6 feet-6 inches). Pedestals cannot be guaranteed. Accepted artists may not have another solo museum show in or outside of New Jersey until after the Emerging Artist show closes. Each submission must include an artist statement (maximum 1 page, written in first person) and a 250-word maximum artist statement summary. Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline, and incomplete entries will be disqualified.
