New Editions: a Printmaking Exhibition

The Indianapolis Art Center announces a Call for Entry to New Editions, a juried exhibition featuring printmaking with a contemporary take on traditional techniques. This exhibition highlights the world of printmaking today and the richness found in the wide variety of techniques involved. The Art Center is calling for entries from artists 18 or older working in any printmaking media in the United States. Work made with any printmaking technique or work that utilizes printmaking as a critical component are eligible.

Submission is open to all artists over the age of 18 residing in the United States. Work must be made within the last two years and cannot have been previously shown at the Art Center. All work must be original and made by the artist or artist team. Collaborative works are eligible. All printmaking mediums are eligible. Installation artists should contact the Art Center before applying to ensure compatibility of space. Artwork must not weigh more than 250 pounds or be larger than 10 feet in any direction. Entry fee is $25 (non-refundable) for submission of two pieces, with $5 for each additional piece submitted up to 15 pieces maximum. Submissions must include a minimum of 2 and maximum of 15 work samples (images, audio, or video).

Accepted work must remain on display until the end of the exhibition on April 7, 2021. All work must come ready to install/hang. For multi-media and other installations, artists should be available to assist with installation (February 3-11, 2021). All work may be offered for sale, with the Art Center retaining a 35% commission on sales. Notification of acceptance will be sent by January 17, 2021. Artwork must arrive by February 1, 2021. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and insurance. Work must be shipped in a reusable container, and return shipping is to be paid by the artist. Hand-delivered work may be dropped off beginning January 18, 2021. Awards: Best in Show - $350; two Best of Best runners-up - $150 each.
