NEW DRAWINGS: Juried Exhibition

Kentler International Drawing Space invites artists from around the world to submit new drawings (no more than two years old) for its inaugural juried group exhibition celebrating the organization's 35th anniversary. The juror is Samantha Friedman, Curator of Drawings and Prints at The Museum of Modern Art, New York. The juror is particularly interested in drawings that openly celebrate, question, or acknowledge their medium, reflecting on drawing's defining elements (line, paper, immediacy) or pushing its boundaries to explore what makes the form essential.

Selected drawings will be on view at Kentler International Drawing Space from June 14 - July 20, 2025. The exhibition will include a talk by the juror, an opening reception, public visiting hours, an exhibition card and brochure, and a dedicated page on Kentler's website. Artists whose works are selected will be notified by April 9, 2025. Selected artworks must be delivered to the gallery by May 1, 2025, ready-to-hang (framed or mounted).

Eligibility: Open to artists worldwide. Submissions must be new drawings created within the last two years, maximum paper size 16 x 20 inches (40 x 50 cm). Artworks must be physical objects that can be mounted on a wall; screen-based digital media are not eligible. Submit 1-2 drawings per application with 1 image per artwork (JPEG, 1,200 pixels or greater on longest side, max 2 MB, RGB color profile). Entry fee: $35 USD (nonrefundable).
