New Directions 2015 National Juried Contemporary Art Exhibition

New Directions is a 29th annual national juried exhibition of contemporary art showcasing work by established and emerging artists from across the United States. The exhibition is held at Barrett Art Center Galleries, located in a Greek Revival townhouse built in 1830 and listed on the National Register of Historic Sites.

Eligibility: Open to all artists residing in the United States and age 18 or older. Eligible visual media include drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, installation art, glass, ceramics, fiber, and mixed media. Video/film, performance art, and wearable art are not eligible. All work must be original in design, concept, and media, completed within the last three years. Student projects and work previously exhibited at Barrett Art Center are ineligible. Two-dimensional work cannot exceed 40 inches along any side including frame. Three-dimensional work must fit within 60 inches high by 30 inches wide by 24 inches deep and cannot be hung or installed from ceiling.

Entry fee: $50 for non-members ($40 for Barrett Art Center members) for up to three works. Submit 1-3 images via CaFÉ at www.callforentry.org. Deadline: August 8, 2015 at midnight Mountain Time. Notification of acceptance by August 19, 2015. Accepted work must be delivered September 9-11, 2015. Exhibition dates: September 26–October 31, 2015. Opening reception: September 26, 4pm-7pm. Juror: Janet Bishop, Weisel Family Curator of Painting and Sculpture at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Three cash prizes and two honorary awards will be selected by the juror.
